Glynn Desmond has been involved in many projects at St. Theresa’s Primary School. Glynn has produced many quality products such as protective cages for outside equipment in the yard, bike racks, a portable stage system and gates and fencing.
Glynn is very flexible and has been able to competently work with me in designing finished products that can be tailored to suit particular needs and specifications. He offers options that can be adapted to suit budget requirements and is very knowledgeable in giving alternatives that could be adopted.
The quality of Glynn’s work has always been of a very high standard. He is very conscious of safety standards and always considers theses aspects in completing his products. All of Glynn’s projects have been exceptionally well finished and are not only functional but clean and appealing to look at.
Glynn always completes projects within the timeframe he quotes on. He has always been punctual in finishing and fitting off projects within reasonable timeframes and takes into account suitable times when jobs can be installed with minimal interruption to the normal operations at the school. I am gladly writing this testimonial for GPD Engineering and Glynn Desmond. Glynn was carrying out some work at our school when I approached him regarding the manufacture of some movable Tool and Equipment trolleys. I gave him the rough details of what was required. He went away and designed a Shadow Board on wheels with inbuilt storage facilities. Subsequently he also designed:
- a movable Technical Drawing Equipment Trolley,
- adjustable height work benches,
- woodwork and textile benches,
All of the equipment Glynn has produced has assisted greatly in the delivery and enjoyment of the classes for both the students and staff in the Technology/Textile classes. Schools can be very hard on this type of equipment. It is a testament to Glynn and his workmanship that the Benches and other equipment look just as good as when they were first delivered to the school. This testimonial is provided to express my gratitude at the work Glynn of GPD Engineering has performed at our school. Glynn has built Lockers, Cupboards, Work benches, Hockey Goals and carried out a range of metal fabrication work as our school has grown. Glynn has always produced high quality equipment at the cheapest price. He is able to build equipment and furniture to our sizes and specifications which has not been the case with other suppliers. Our lockers needed to fit under the window sills where they were to be placed. However, the standard height of lockers from other suppliers, was 75 mm higher than the window sills. This would have been unsightly and provided a trap for debris. Glynn custom built our lockers to sit under the window sills. The GPD produced lockers, more readily suited our needs and were cheaper than the mass produced alternative. Glynn also fabricated a Bicycle and Scooter enclosure which he designed and custom built to suit the needs of our students. Glynn worked to our timelines and always delivered on time. I would recommend GPD Engineering to any other organization that requires fabricated equipment.
